What this quote means to me is mornings are the best time of day. They are the perfect time to choose or decide who you will be today.Give you the choice to be who you want to be, if you want to be a good person or bad person. They give you time to reflect on who your going to be and why. It gives you the opportunity to be someone different and someone helpful. If you decide to be a good and caring person you can. If you want to be a person who simply does not care about anything, you can be that person but you as a person have to face the consequences alone. The whole meaning of this quote id to tell you you can be anyone or anything you want to be, it is your choice and no one is going to stop you or prevent you from doing it, but no one is going to help you as well. You will face the world as it is on your own. Even if you think someone will help you, you will face it alone because no one in this world will truly be there all the time you need them, you have to learn to face the problems on your own. 

Ear Nose Throat Doctor

Ear Nose Throat Doctor

Duties and responsibilities: There is a wide range of medical specialties that you can pursue after medical school. One of them is otolaryngology, commonly know as a ear/nose/throat doctor. Your caseload depends on whether you work in a private practice, hospital, or larger medical organization.  

Salary:$200,00-$400,000

Education: To become an ENT Doctor you go through a traditional route of medical school. After you complete your residency, which includes a year of surgery training, apply for your state medical license. After you are done with all the training, know that you will have to renew your license every 7-10 years.   

Demand for this profession: You must first complete a medical school program, then followed by a five year residency program. During the first year of residency you will study emergency medicine, critical care medicine, anesthesiology, and general surgery and 2-4 years will focus on otolaryngology.

Reflection: I don’t see myself as an ear/nose/throat doctor in the future. I would like to think of myself helping people but not in this way.

What i think the significance of  this quote is to always be aware of what you do. It is very common we as people make many mistakes, but no matter how many mistakes we make we can learn from all of them. Even though you make a mistake and you think there is no way to fix it after its done, there is always a way. There is always something, there is never nothing. Us as people are sometimes tempted to do the wrong thing because you want something or your lazy, but we also know that there are consequences at the end. We do things and sometimes we don't think of the consequences after the action is made. We think it is right at first but after a while we know it is wrong. We know it is wrong and we don't do anything about it because they might be scared, or they simply don't care of think they might get away with it, but we don't.

The teachers will be there to help you if you don't understand. You have to be willing to be patient and willing to try and understand if you really want to learn. We can all work as a team to help one another to understand. I can apply to these examples because i am never absent and i like to do all my work.

The significance of this quote is to tell us something. This quote is telling us that no matter how much you want to do something, and it is something wrong, you don't do it. You want to do the right thing and life will be easier. If you don the right thing, your life will be so much easier. It will make your decisions easier to choose from. For example if you want to talk to someone because you are bored and you know it is the wrong thing to do, you don't do it. If you do it, think of the consequences, the negative consequences that come after your action. You know it is the wrong thing to do but you persuaded to do it, so you do it. You think it is right at first but then after your action there is always a consequence. It is always better to do the right thing. Once you do a right thing you feel good about yourself. You feel good because you didn't give up.

Dermatologist

Duties and responsibilities: Dermatologists provides life-changing medical diagnoses and treatments that restore health, prevent illness, improve quality of life, and bring relief for people who suffer from a variety of conditions that often cause severe mental and physical impairment.  Dermatologists are physician specialists who diagnose and treat disorders of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes in both adults and children.

Salary: $ 204,073 per year

Education: Dermatology is one of the most highly competitive medical fields, and requires many years of education and training. The first step is an undergraduate degree from a four-year college, including pre-medical courses in biology, organic chemistry, physics, and general chemistry. Some people must also complete math and biochemistry coursework, depending on the medical school they plan to attend.

Demand or need for this profession: Medical doctors must obtain and keep a current license to practice. Once a person has successfully completed medical school and dermatology residency, he or she is eligible to sit for the Dermatology Board Examination, which is administered by the American Board of Dermatology. Because dermatology is such a competitive field, successful dermatologists must possess both a strong academic track record and an intrinsic desire to succeed.

Reflection: I don’t really see myself in the future as a dermatologist for that matter. I do like to help people but this job doesn’t deem for me.

 The significance of this quote by John Wooden is very simple yet very wise and true. This quote reveals that however you are or whatever you are as a person is important. It doesn't matter that your rich or live in a nice house or come from a wealthy family. What matters is that you are a good person and you show respect to other people. You are respectful to other people and yourself. You are a person who believes in him/herself and believes in other people. You don't care about how well known you are or if anyone knows you. It doesn't matter that you are a basketball player and your wealthy and have a nice house, car, and have everything you want, if you have a bad personality. It matters that you are a good person and that is what is important not the things you do. Yes you can be a basketball player and be a great athlete but what you are is way more important than what you do. You are a regular person like everyone else, but you also happen to be a person that plays a sport. A person that is two things but is the same.

Duties and responsibilities: The Federal Bureau of Investigation is the domestic intelligence and security service of the United States, which simultaneously serves as the nation's prime  federal law enforcement agency. The FBI is primarily a domestic agency, maintaining 56 field offices in major cities throughout the United States, and more than 400 resident agencies in lesser cities and areas across the nation. At an FBI field office, a senior-level FBI officer concurrently serves as the representative of the  Director of National Intelligence.The FBI can and does at times carry out secret activities overseas, just as the CIA has a limited domestic function these activities generally require coordination across government agencies.

Salary:$43,441

Education: FBI special agents must take at least one of the FBI Special Agent Entry Programs to be eligible for employment. THere are five they can take either of these; Language, Law, Accounting, Computer Science/ Information Technology, and Diversified.  

Demand for this particular career:  The candidates must be at least 23 but younger than 37. They also must be United States citizens, they also must hold a four year degree of a college or university.

Reflection: I would like to be an FBI. I like the idea of investigating and trying to solve the mysteries, I actually love mysteries. I know it takes time to solve but we have to be smart and open minded. I like the idea of helping people out and be out and be active and socialize with a team.

What I think of this quote is it is trying to say that no matter how wealthy you are or how much money you have, you will have a poor heart. Not everyone necessarily that is wealthy has a poor heart, but the majority of people that own lots of money don't care about others. They only think about themselves, all they think about is how much they spent and how they will make more money. They think about what is best for them, and not for other people around them. They don't think about the community, or the well being of others. Now if you have a great personality and you do great choices, and you think about others and put them first, you have a great heart. If you have a great attitude and never think on the negative side, you have a wealthy heart. You have a wealthy heart because you think of others and never make others feel any less of themselves.

Duties and responsibilities: It takes a short period of time to become a dentist's assistant. Dental assistants are usually seen as crucial members of the dental team, providing a spectrum of services to support both dentists and administrative staff.

Salary: $ 34,730

Education: Dental assistants receive their formal education through academic programs at community colleges, vocational schools, technical institutes, universities or dental schools.  Graduates of these programs usually receive certificates. Although the majority of academic dental assisting programs take nine to eleven months to complete.  You’ll have the opportunity to handle many phases of a patient’s visit and even assist the dentist during procedures. You will also learn clinical, radiographic, and preventative dentistry procedures to prepare you for an entry-level dental assistant position.

Demand or Need for this Profession:The demand to be a dentist’s assistant is to have a minimum of nine to eleven months in an academic dental assisting program.

Reflection: I think i would like to see myself in the future as a dentist’s assistant if my future goal does not work out.

What I think about this quote is no matter what you do that is wrong, there is no denying that you will not feel right after this. You do something that you know is wrong, and you do it anyways. You think you did good because it was easier or less difficult, but it isn't. It is good to keep your promises, especially if you want people to trust you. You keep your promises not only because you want people to trust you, but because you do it because it is the right thing to do. after you do something good, you feel good. You feel relaxed, like if something has just gone over you. You feel at peace, and that's the feeling you want to have your whole life. You can enjoy life and have fun, but you do this in the right way. You can go out with your friends to the park or theaters but you do it in the right way. If your parents tell you to be home before 11:00 you do it, because you want to be able to go out with your friends again without your parents worrying. You want to feel care free but at the same time you have to be aware of what you are doing. If it is wrong then you don't do it, if it's right then you do it. You choose to be who you want to be.

Duties and responsibilities: A dentist provides oral health services to adults and children. Some dentists choose to study a sub-specialty, such as orthodontics. Dentists work with patients to promote dental health. They diagnose and treat oral health issues and inform patients on preventative care and treatment. Most dentists are practitioners who perform exams, fill cavities, and extract teeth.

Education: Most dentists obtain an undergraduate degree before completing a four-year dental program and earning a doctoral degree in dental medicine or dental surgery.

Demand or need for this profession: No specific undergraduate degree is required but students usually take science courses in biology, anatomy, chemistry, and microbiology. Postgraduates requirements, such as residency, may also be required. All dentists should be licensed in by the state  which they practiced.  A bachelor’s degree is required prior to admission to dental school, doctoral degree in dental medicine or dental surgery.   

Reflection: I would not like to be one, I don’t really see myself in the future as a dentist.

What I feel when I hear this is honesty. This quote reveals that your actions effect not only other people but yourself to. You hurt other people when you do something bad, if you do something good, you and other people feel good. For example, if you decide to help your mother with the laundry because she asked you, and you fold it and place it neatly where it goes, you feel good. Just think of how your mother would feel when she see's that you folded the laundry and you placed it where it belonged. She didn't ask you to place it where it belonged, but you did it because you were being generous, you were thinking about how much your mom has done for you. You think about what little you have done to deserve what your mom gives you. On the other hand, if you do bad, like disobey your mother, and she comes home realizing that you did not do what she asked, she would be mad. She would be stressed from what she had previously done, and then she would have to do it on her own. You would watch her see her be stressed and then the feeling of guilt comes along. You regret not helping your mother and you know that it was a bad choice not to help her but you did it anyways.

Duties and Responsibilities: A chiropractor is a health care professional who focuses on diagnostics and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis  on treatment.  Chiropractors use a variety of non-surgical treatments to treat patients with certain types of: lower back pain and/or leg pain, neck pain, repetitive strains, headaches, sports injuries, etc.  

Salary:$118,551-$192,320

Education:Chiropractic education requires at least 4 years of professional study and includes a 4-year undergraduate/college prerequisite in most states.Of the 4 years of training to be a doctor of chiropractic, 2 years of basic sciences are required, followed by the successful completion of National Boards.

Demand for this profession: Prospective chiropractors are required to have a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, a postgraduate professional degree that usually takes 4 years to complete.Admission to D.C. programs requires at least 90 semester hours of undergraduate education, with courses in the liberal arts and sciences, such as physics, chemistry, and biology. However, many students earn a bachelor’s degree before applying to a chiropractic program.

Reflection: I would like to see myself as a chiropractor considering all of the necessities it requires. This would really be an advantage for me. I would have to challenge my knowledge which helps in learning more.

     This quote to me it means that if you choose to obey, if you choose to do the right thing , good things will come to you. For example, if you are asked to wash the dishes and you do what you are told, there is a reward at the end. They may let you go out with your friends or go outside. Your parents expect you to obey and they know that if you don't obey there is a consequence. If you don't obey they may not let you go outside or do something of your choice. You know there are consequences but you still do the wrong thing because you don't care. This shows other people as well that you don't care and then people start to doubt you and not trust you. They think that just because you disobey you won't be able to do other simple things. They don't trust you because you have not proven yourself trustworthy.

911 Memorials

            

           On September 11, 2001,  Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and crashed them into the Twin Towers. The third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington D.C., the fourth plane crashed on a field in Pennsylvania. The attacks resulted in an extensive deaths and destruction.  Over 3,000 people were killed during the attacks in New York  City and Washington D.C., including more than 400 police officers and firefighters. The crash on the north tower left a burning, gaping hole near the 80th floor of the 110-story skyscraper in resulting killing instantly hundreds and hundreds of people and trapping hundreds of people on higher floors which appeared to be an accident at first. Eighteen minutes later a second airplane appeared out of the sky and headed straight toward the south tower and sliced near the 60th floor. The horror in New York took a turn for the worst when the south tower collapsed sending dust and smoke in its wake.   

Reflection: My thoughts about this horrible event are what kind of people live and know what they have done. How can they live knowing they killed hundreds of innocent people and injured more people. If you ask me I would say that no matter how bad a mistake a person does it does not give you the right to kill innocent people just  because you are angry, or upset with the world. This event is truly terrifying if you think about it, nothing less if you imagine all those people that were a witness of this. There are people in the world that are cruel and don't simply care.Now if you were to go back a few moments and think about this, these people had no idea what was going on and all of a sudden something horrible and unimaginable happens. 

             

   In Thomas S. Monson's story he talks about his friend, Danny and him, at eight years old of him and his friend wanting to have a camp out. Them being at eight years old were excited to have a camp out, but all they needed to do was clear an area to have the camp out. So they had the idea of ripping out the plants from the ground. As the time passed by their excitement faded so Thomas had an idea. His idea was to burn the plants in a circle to clear the field faster. His friend agreed with his idea, now just thinking about it these boys thought it was okay to play with the matches and light them up. So they did and at first they thought it was working but then they realized that the fire wasn't just going to extinguish its self out. So they did what they thought was best, they called for help, and people were rushing back and forth to get water bags and trying to put the fire out. Now these eight year old  boys thought it was a good idea to play with the matches even though they knew they were not allowed to play with them. This wrong decision caused a very big negative effect, they disobeyed and there was consequences for it.

   This statement to me means that to obey is the right thing to do. It reveals that if you want someone to trust you, you need to prove to them that they can trust you. For example, if you want a friend to trust you and they ask for something like a favor to keep a secret, they expect you to keep the secret. They expect you to keep the secret because its not your secret to tell. They might want you to keep the secret because they think that if it go's around they think it might hurt someone or offend someone. They think they can trust you for anything because sometimes people need someone to talk to. They need a person to talk to, to ask for advice or for your opinion. They want someone to talk to because sometimes all that people need is to get that burden off of them. That's why obedience is important or when you are asked for something from your parents and they expect you to obey but then you do something else and then they don't trust you anymore. that is why obedience is very important.

          This reveals that Education is the answer to everything. This means that education will help you in life. It shows you that if you had a good education you can get by anything, your life will be easier. For example, if you have a job interview and you didn't have a good education, you didn't go to high school and college, it will be harder in life for you. It will be hard because no one would want to hire a person that did't graduate from college or high school because they weren't prepared for the job. It makes it harder because even though they do hire you they expect you to figure it out by yourself. They expect you to sit down right away and you already know what your doing. The people expect you to know what there talking about, they expect you to understand. They want you to get to work and understand how it works, and what to do and what not to do. Or if you go to a place that has a program that your interested in they expect to to have experience. The chances are that they might not take you because you didn't finish your career, and in many places its mandatory.
