Dentists work with patients to promote dental health. They diagnose and treat oral health issues and inform patients on preventative care and treatment. Most dentists are practitioners who perform exams, fill cavities, and extract teeth.

Education: Most dentists obtain an undergraduate degree before completing a four-year dental program and earning a doctoral degree in dental medicine or dental surgery.

Demand or need for this profession: No specific undergraduate degree is required but students usually take science courses in biology, anatomy, chemistry, and microbiology. Postgraduates requirements, such as residency, may also be required. All dentists should be licensed in by the state  which they practiced.  A bachelor’s degree is required prior to admission to dental school, doctoral degree in dental medicine or dental surgery.

Reflection: I would not like to be one, I don’t really see myself in the future as a dentist.
