Duties and responsibilities: It takes a short period of time to become a dentist's assistant. Dental assistants are usually seen as crucial members of the dental team, providing a spectrum of services to support both dentists and administrative staff.

Salary: $ 34,730

Education: Dental assistants receive their formal education through academic programs at community colleges, vocational schools, technical institutes, universities or dental schools.  Graduates of these programs usually receive certificates. Although the majority of academic dental assisting programs take nine to eleven months to complete.  You’ll have the opportunity to handle many phases of a patient’s visit and even assist the dentist during procedures. You will also learn clinical, radiographic, and preventative dentistry procedures to prepare you for an entry-level dental assistant position.

Demand or Need for this Profession:The demand to be a dentist’s assistant is to have a minimum of nine to eleven months in an academic dental assisting program.


Reflection: I think i would like to see myself in the future as a dentist’s assistant if my future goal does not work out.
