Duties and Responsibilities: A chiropractor is a health care professional who focuses on diagnostics and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis  on treatment.  Chiropractors use a variety of non-surgical treatments to treat patients with certain types of: lower back pain and/or leg pain, neck pain, repetitive strains, headaches, sports injuries, etc.  


Salary:$118,551-$192,320


Education:Chiropractic education requires at least 4 years of professional study and includes a 4-year undergraduate/college prerequisite in most states.Of the 4 years of training to be a doctor of chiropractic, 2 years of basic sciences are required, followed by the successful completion of National Boards.


Demand for this profession: Prospective chiropractors are required to have a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, a postgraduate professional degree that usually takes 4 years to complete.Admission to D.C. programs requires at least 90 semester hours of undergraduate education, with courses in the liberal arts and sciences, such as physics, chemistry, and biology. However, many students earn a bachelor’s degree before applying to a chiropractic program.



Reflection: I would like to see myself as a chiropractor considering all of the necessities it requires. This would really be an advantage for me. I would have to challenge my knowledge which helps in learning more.
