     This quote to me it means that if you choose to obey, if you choose to do the right thing , good things will come to you. For example, if you are asked to wash the dishes and you do what you are told, there is a reward at the end. They may let you go out with your friends or go outside. Your parents expect you to obey and they know that if you don't obey there is a consequence. If you don't obey they may not let you go outside or do something of your choice. You know there are consequences but you still do the wrong thing because you don't care. This shows other people as well that you don't care and then people start to doubt you and not trust you. They think that just because you disobey you won't be able to do other simple things. They don't trust you because you have not proven yourself trustworthy.
