Any topic: Barnes and Noble

Barnes and Noble

My topic is a book store known as barnes and noble.

I chose this topic because I like reading and buying new books almost every week. Barnes and noble is a book store. This is a fortunate 500 company. It is the largest retail bookseller in the United States and a retailer of content. The company operates 638 retail stores in all 50 U.S. States. Barnes and noble originated in 1886 with a bookstore called Author Hinds and company. In 1894, Noble was named a partner, and the name was Hinds & Noble. Barnes and noble publishes some of the books it sells, reprinting non-copyrighted titles. The company has expanded its publishing operation. Barnes and noble hires community business development managers to engage in community outreach. The manager's responsibilities involve organizing in-store events, such as author appearances. I have actually been to meet Lily Collins at Barnes and Noble for her first book release. The manager also organizes children story times and book groups. Barnes and noble also host book fairs which raises funds for schools and libraries. Most stores sell books, magazines, newspaper, DVD’s, graphic novels, games, Nook e-readers and technology.
