Student Success Statement: Dr. Ben Carson

“ I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and i can change that ( poverty ). It depends on how hard I want to work, and I decided that I wanted to change it. “- Dr. Ben Carson

What this quotes significance is that we decide if we want to change our future. We all come from a family, we all know what it's like for us to want something but never get it. For some of us it is even more hard to support our family, we all have a path. We all have a path that leads us somewhere, but the thing is we never know when and where that path will lead us and end. We don’t know when it can end or where it leads. That is a mystery for us all, well for most of us anyways. But we all have one, the possibilities of where they might lead are endless. And that is a good thing, we don’t know our future. The best part in life is that you don’t take it somewhere unless you make the choice. Unless you say so it will keep leading to a path the is unknown. So unless you do something about it to change it, no one else will change it for you. You will have to take responsibility for your own future, it's not someone else's life, it's yours. You need to learn how to hold on to life when you're slipping, you take control. If you don’t you’ll fall and you will end up where you started. Work hard and it will pay off, do it for the people you care about and if not for them, then at least do it for yourselves.

Student Success Statement: Dr. Randy Pausch

“ It’s not about how to achieve your dreams. It’s about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the RIGHT WAY, the karma( good results, destiny, fortune, good luck) will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you. “ - Dr. Randy Pausch

What this quotes significance means is that life will eventually work itself out for you. I'm not saying that life will be easy for you or that everything you want will come to you. What I’m saying is that if you work hard and do things the right way the first time, you will make your world a whole lot easier. You wouldn’t need to worry  about going back and doing it all over again because you got to lazy or discouraged to do it. You wouldn’t need to go back and do it again because you did it the first time. Life itself isn’t easy for anyone, we all have bumps on the road or adventure. We all have struggles in our life, but as time passes we learn a thing or two about how it should be done. We learn because we listen and pay attention. So our lives are not easy simple as that. But along the way, as time passes, your life will work itself out and you will have no regrets. You will look back and see that your life turned out pretty good.

Class Evaluation

Some things I like about this class are that we have free time if we are finished with everything. I also like that we get to learn new things like making a blog or making a google sheet.

Things I did not like about this class was that we had a certain amount of time in doing things and sometimes we would not be able to finish.

Recommendations for improving this class is to give more free time and get the students to try and search up different things not just careers. To make them learn different things and what's happening.

A highlight for me in this class was learning on typing tutorial, now my typing has improved.

Yes i did do my best in this class, i finished all my work and participated in class.

Yes i am reading my life planning goals journal everyday to remind myself of what i need to improve on.

Yes i am committed to being a CTR Person because I like to see people happy and not struggling.

Student Success Statement: Mark Twain

“ Always do right.” - Mark Twain

I agree with Mark Twain when he says these three meaningful words. As a person, we all have choices. Every choice we decide to make changes our future. It can change your future in a good way or a bad way. Every second of everyday there is always something happening. There is never going to be a time where nothing is happening. You have to choice if you're going to be the cause of the action. You can either cause it or prevent it from happening. You have many choices throughout your whole life. We may choose the wrong choices once in awhile. But sometimes we choose the right choice because we want what’s best for us. We want the best choice and selfishly everyone wants that.Or selfishly we want it for ourselves or for a person not to have those choices. We all know that one way or another your mistakes will come back to you. There is never going to be a time where you will do something bad and not face the consequences.

Student Success Statement: Lou Holtz

  1. Can people trust me to do whats right?
  2. Am i committed to doing my very best?
  3. Do i treat people the way I want to be treated?

“ If the answer to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail.” - Lou Holtz

I agree with Lou when he says there is no way that you can fail if the answer to all these questions are yes. If you think about it these questions are very important, they should make you think and reflect on yourself. If you take a moment to think about this and really take it in, you will realize that some people are not aware of how they look and act most of the time. You have to be careful when you do things, you have to think about your actions before you do anything. Think about what consequences come within your actions. Be smart and think about it well. You don’t want to do something and then later on regret it. You have to be aware of the things you can lose and are risking. Do something because you know it will help you. Do it because you care.

Student Success Statement; John F. Kennedy

“ Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”- President John F. Kennedy

I agree with President John F. Kennedy when he says that physical fitness is not only the most important keys to a healthy body. Physical fitness does not only have one purpose, it can have many purposes. They can be to get in shape, just for fun, to blow off some stress, and many more. The point is that physical fitness does not have only one purpose. It can help a lot of people with many things in many ways. If you think that it is just to get in shape, then you are wrong. Many people depend on physical fitness to help relax their bodies. Or people can also use it for the brain too. It can exercise the brain in many  ways. Just because you see a person that has a nice body and seems all happy all the time, it does not mean everything in their life is perfect. They can have some issues at home or with a person. That’s where the physical fitness comes in, they use it to let their stress out or to get their mind off of things.

Student Success Statement: Joseph B. Wirthlin

“ Kindness is the essence of greatness. “- Joseph B. Wirthlin

I agree with Joseph when he says that kindness is the key to greatness. Kindness is just a word to most people. They see it  and hear it almost every day but the truth is are they really comprehending? People may see or hear this word and not make much of it, but it is a powerful thing. Kindness can lead to many things in life, it can lead to possibly anything you want if you are well aware of what it means. Kindness means family, friends, partners, etc. but it also means something that you do out of generosity. You don’t do it to receive something out of it or because you think by doing it people will like you more. You can be kind to anybody just because you can and want to. It doesn’t mean to do everything for a person, it means to be kind enough and ask or offer help. Be kind to someone, it doesn’t have to be a big act of help. It can be something small like offering to help with carrying something or opening a door. It can be anything you want, but show it to people.

Student Success Statement: Mark Twain

“ Honesty is the best policy.” - Mark Twain

I agree with Mark Twain when he says that honesty is the best policy. The best you can do to earn respect or make life easier is by being honest. Honesty gives you a good feeling and it makes you seem as a good person. It makes you seem like if you are a person worth someone’s respect. You have to be honest when the time comes to be honest, don’t be scared or doubt yourself. Be honest and you’ll feel better, it will make your life easier. Don’t be scared because you think you might get into trouble. It doesn’t matter if you get into trouble, what matters is that you are honest to yourself and others. Honesty makes you a better person and makes you realize your mistakes or the good things you have done. Honesty proves you are responsible for yourself and your things. It shows everyone that you are capable of doing many things.

Student Success Statement: W. Clement Stone

“These are the 3 magic keys to living your life with integrity:
  1. Have the courage to say no
  2. Have the courage to face the truth
  3. Do the right thing because it is right “- W. Clement Stone

I agree with Clement Stone. You have to be courageous to be someone in this world. You have to stand up for yourself no matter the circumstances. You have to be willing to give up things along the way. It may be something that you love with all your heart but if you want to be someone in the world you may have to leave things behind along the way to be able to be who you want to be. It doesn’t matter if you make mistakes along the way, what matters is that you learn from your mistakes. Be brave to be someone in the world that gains the people's respect. Stand up for yourself and don’t be dishonest with others or with yourself. Be brave enough to face the consequences if that is what you believe in. Say it loud, project your voice to be heard. Don’t stay quiet because later on you will regret it and ask yourself why didn’t i do it?
