St. Patrick’s Day
1.St. Patrick was a fifth-century British Christian missionary.
2. The day commemorates the day of saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity. It also celebrates the heritage and culture of the Irish in general.
3. We celebrate it this day because it is the traditional death date of Saint Patrick
4.On St Patrick's Day, it is customary to wear shamrocks and/or green clothing or accessories (the "wearing of the green"), the color associated with Catholics in Ireland. St Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish.
