What this quote means is that no matter what mistakes we make, small or big, there is always a chance to fix it. There is a chance always given for you, but you are the one who gets to choose your decision. You have to choose between the two choices you are given. If you make obedience your goal, you have to follow it, because that is the only goal you really have to depend on. You depend on this goal to help you through your life. As your knowledge grows you want to challenge it, to make it stronger. That is what you have to do with your life. You have to challenge yourself and do things that you are not expecting to do. You have to part with things along the way, and listen to yourself when you say something is wrong. If you know something is wrong, you know you have to stay away from it. If you know something id good for you but you don't want to do it, you get to make the choice, but you will have to face the consequences that come after your actions. You will have to face the world alone one day, and then you realize that you should have chosen the right one. The one you knew was best for you, and you still didn't choose it because you were thinking about the fun you will have or about yourself in that moment, and not the future.
