Emergency Medical Technician
Duties and responsibilities: Emergency Medical Technicians also known as (EMT) are terms used in many countries to denote a health care provider. EMTs are clinicians, trained to respond quickly to emergency situations regarding medical issues, traumatic injuries, and accident scenes. EMTs are mostly found in working in ambulances, they are often employed by ambulance services, governments, and hospitals.
Salary:$19,534- $38.073
Education: A high school diploma or a CPR or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification are both mandatory requirements for EMT programs. You will have to take courses in anatomy, physiology. Formal training is provided by community colleges, technical institutes and other establishments. There are four levels of EMT training they are The EMT Basic training, The advanced EMT level, and The PAramedic Level.
Demand for this profession: A high school diploma or a CPR or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification are both mandatory requirements, and a clean criminal record. All emergency medical technicians must be certified by the NAtional Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians., before practicing. Becoming licensed entails formal training at the EMT Basics
Reflection: I do not see myself in the future as a EMT. I do see myself in helping other people, but not in this career.
